La conferenza internazionale "Migration and the Mediterranean, past and present" è organizzata dall’Università Roma Tre, dalla Università di Lund e dall’Istituto Svedese a Roma in collaborazione con il network USI. The Mediterranean region has been an arena for migration, trade and cultural exchange since ancient time until today and has recently witnessed high volumes of migration flows, both intra-regional and between its southern and northern shores.

The aim of the conference is to gather researchers and policy makers in knowledge exchange and discussions on past and present migration-related issues in the Mediterranean region and in the context of the European Union.
